Metroline is a bus company operating services in Greater London. It is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro and operates services under contract toTransport for London. Operations are split between two registered companies, Metroline Travel Limited and Metroline West Limited.

Metroline Travel Edit

Metroline Travel Limited operates nine bus garages.

Brentford (AH) Edit

Brentford garage operates London bus routes 117, 190209, 235237E2 and E8, and school route 609.

History Edit

On 3 September 2011, route 117 was passed to Abellio London.

On 12 January 2013, route 635 was passed to London United.

On 3 September 2016, Metroline took over the operation of route 117.

On 7 January 2017, Metroline took over the operation of route 235.

On 23 September 2000, route 139 was transferred to this garage from North Acton (NA) garage.

On 12 October 2002, route 316 passed to Thorpes.

On 9 November 2002, route 205 was transferred from this garage to Perivale West (PA) garage.

On 1 February 2003, route 112 was transferred from this garage to Perivale West (PA) garage.

On 4 September 2004, route 268 was transferred from this garage to Perivale West (PA) garage.

On 5 February 2005, route C11 passed to Thorpes.

On 21 May 2005, routes 143 and 326 passed to Thorpes.

On 21 May 2005, Metroline took over the operation of route 316.

On 21 May 2005, route 232 was transferred from this garage to North Wembley (NW) garage.

On 7 March 2009, route 210 was transferred to this garage from Perivale West (PA) garage.

On 30 May 2009, route 251 was transferred to this garage from North Wembley (NW) garage.

On 3 September 2011, route 251 was passed to London Sovereign.

On 1 October 2011, route C11 was transferred to this garage from Perivale West (PA) garage.

On 19 May 2012, route 266 passed to First London.

On 9 June 2012, routes 143, 232 and 326 were transferred to this garage from Perivale West (PA) and Perivale East (PV) garages.

On 29 June 2012, the Edgware (EW) allocation for route N16 was transferred to this garage.

On 2 August 2014, Metroline commenced operating route 112. 

On 25 July 2015, London Sovereign took over the operation of route 326.

On 26 September 2015, Metroline took over the operation of route 168.

On 24 October 2015, Metroline took over the operation of route 324.

On 3 September 2016, the Harrow Weald (HD) allocation for route N16 was transferred to this garage.

On 21 January 2017, part of route 316 was transferred to Willesden (AC) garage.

On 1 April 2017, The Willesden (AC) allocation of route 316 was be transferred to this garage, route 168 was transferred from this garage to Holloway (HT) Garage and 139 passed to London Sovereign.

Edgware garage operates routes 107113186204 and 240, school route 606, and night routes N5N98 and N113.

History Edit

On 31 August 2002, routes 288 and 305 were transferred from this garage to North Wembley (NW) garage and route 204 was transferred to this garage from North Wembley (NW) garage.

On 4 September 2004, routes 251 and 303 were transferred from this garage to North Wembley (NW) garage and route 186 was transferred to this garage from Harrow Weald (HD) garage.

On 10 October 2009, Metroline commenced operating route 606.

On 29 June 2012, the Edgware (EW) allocation for route N16 was transferred to Cricklewood (W) garage.

On 1 September 2012, route 605 passed to London Sovereign.

Harrow Weald (HD) Edit

Harrow Weald garage operates routes 182, H12, 24-hour route 140, school route 640, and Night route N18.

History Edit

On 4 September 2004, Metroline took over the operation of route H12, route 186 was transferred to Edgware (EW) garage from this garage and route H14 passed to London Sovereign.

On 5 September 2009, route 640 passed to Arriva The Shires.

On 30 August 2014, Metroline recommenced operating route 640.

On 3 September 2016, part of route N16's allocation was transferred to Cricklewood (W) garage.

On 3 September 2016, part of route N18's allocation was transferred to this garage.

London United will take over the operation of route N18 from 11 November 2017.

Holloway (HT) Edit

In November 2002, Metroline commenced operating route 24.

On 9 February 2007, route 24 passed to London General.

On 7 February 2009, Metroline commenced operating routes 91 and N91.

In July 2010, the daytime allocation for route 390 was transferred to this garage from King's Cross (KX) garage.

On 5 February 2011, route W5 passed to CT Plus.

On 28 April 2012, route C2 passed to Abellio London.

On 10 November 2012, Metroline recommenced operating route 24.

On 1 April 2017, the daytime allocation of route 134 was transferred from this garage to Potters Bar (PB) Garage and route 168 was transferred to this garage from Cricklewood (W) Garage.

On 10 July 2010, this garage in Freight Lane opened to replace King's Cross (KX) garage in York Lane.

On 23 June 2012, Perivale East was announced closed.

On 6 August 2016, Perivale East reopened, with routes 7, 79, 245 and N7 transferring to this garage.

On 2 July 2011, Metroline commenced operating route 105.

On 1 October 2011, route C11 was transferred to Cricklewood (W) garage from this garage.

On 26 November 2011, route 90 was transferred to this garage from Perivale East (PV) garage.

On 9 June 2012, routes 143 and 326 were transferred to Cricklewood (W) garage from this garage.

On 23 June 2012, routes 7, 79, 611 and N7 were transferred to this from Perivale East (PV) garage.

On 11 June 2016, route E6 was transferred from this garage to Greenford (G) garage.

On 6 August 2016, routes 7, 79 and N7 was transferred from this garage to Perivale East (PV) garage.

Metroline will takeover the operation of route 120 from 24 June 2017.

Potters Bar garage operates London bus routes 125, 134 (the daytime service only), 217234263384 W8, school route 634, weekend night routes 34 and 307 and night routes N20 and N91, along with Hertfordshire County Council routes 84, 242, 714 and PB1.

History Edit

On 26 July 2003, route 383 passed to Sullivan Buses.

On 7 June 2008, route 231 passed to First London.

On 26 July 2008, Metroline recommenced operating route 383.

On 31 August 2013, Metroline commenced operating route 634.

On 31 August 2013, route 626 passed to Sullivan Buses.

On 8 November 2014, Metroline commenced operating route 34.  

On 31 January 2015, Metroline commenced operating route 125

On 25 July 2015, UNO took over the operation of route 383.

On 12 December 2015, Metroline commenced operating route 307 .

On 4 February 2017, route W9 passed to Sullivan Buses.

On 1 April 2017, the daytime allocation for route 134 was transferred to this garage from Holloway (HT) Garage.

Sullivan Buses will takeover the operations of route 217 from 3 June 2017.

Metroline will takeover the operations of route 382 from 15 July 2017.

On 21 January 2017, part of route 316 was temporarily transferred to this garage.

On 1 April 2017, the Willesden (AC) allocation for route 316 was transferred back to Cricklewood (W) garage.

On 31 October 2015, Metroline took over the operations of route 295.

On 3 September 2016, part of the allocation for route N18 was transferred to Harrow Weald (HD) garage.

London United will taked over the operations of routes 18 and N18 from 11 November 2017.

On 8 April 2017, route 427 passed to Abellio London and route 207 was transferred from this garage to Greenford (G) garage.

On 29 April 2017, Hayes was announced closed.  At the same time, route U5 passed to Abellio London.


North Wembley (NW)Edit

HistoryEdit

North Wembley was opened as a midibus base in 1994, and in latter years buses have been gradually been getting longer, although still single deck. North Wembley had no maintenance facilities, and therefore all maintenance was carried out by Harrow Weald.

On 4 September 1999, route 187 passed to London Traveller.

On 9 September 1999, route 79 was transferred to garage from North Acton (NA) garage.

On 24 November 2001, route 79 passed to First London.

On 31 August 2002, routes 288 and 305 were transferred to garage from Edgware (EW) garage. At the same time, route 204 was transferred from this garage to Edgware (EW) garage.

On 4 September 2004, routes 251 and 303 were transferred to garage from Edgware (EW) garage.

On 29 April 2006, route 90 was transferred from this garage to Perivale East (PV) garage.

On 2 September 2006, routes 288, 303 and 305 passed to Arriva The Shires.

On 28 June 2008, route 245 passed to First London.

On 30 May 2009, North Wembley was announced closed. At the same time, routes 206 and 232 were transferred from this garage to Perivale East (PV) garage and route 251 was transferred from this garage to Cricklewood (W) garage.
