London Buses routes H18 and H19 are Transport for London contracted bus routes in London, England. Running between Harrow and North Harrow, it is operated by Arriva London.

HistoryEdit

Route H18 commenced operating on 19 January 1991 running between Harrow Weald Bus Garage and Hatch End via Boxtree Road - Uxbridge Road - Kenton Lane - Belmont Circle - Kenton Lane - Kenton - Northwick Park Station - Harrow Bus Station - Harrow View - Long Elmes as Monday to Saturday service. The route was initially operated by Metroline from their Harrow Weald (HD) garage using Carlyle Dartline bodied Dennis Darts. The route was introduced to partly replace route 136.

On 4 July 1992, the route was diverted in Harrow Weald direct via High Road instead of Boxtree Road and withdrawn between Harrow and Hatch End.

On 4 September 1999, route H18 passed to Arriva The Shires operating from their Watford (GR) garage and was converted to low floor operation using Wright Crusader 2 bodied Volvo B6BLEs. At the same time, route H18 was extended from Harrow Weald Bus Garage to Long Elms Courtenay Avenue.

On 25 March 2006, it was extended again from Long Elms Courtenay Avenue to Harrow Bus Station, turning route H18 into a circular route, running clockwise and the anti-clockwise direction was renumbered H19.

On 2 September 2006, a Sunday service was introduced.

On 31 August 2013, the routes were retained by Arriva The Shires with Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts introduced.

On 1 January 2016, the Arriva group restructured its bus operations, which included the transfer of routes H18 and H19 from Arriva The Shires to Arriva London.
