London Buses route W15 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Cogan Avenue Estate and Hackney, it is operated by Tower Transit.
Route W15 commenced on 19 November 1988 between Hackney Central and Walthamstow Central stations. It was initially operated by London Forest from Walthamstow (WW) garage using MCW Metroriders.
In 1990, A Monday to Saturday Clapton (CT) allocation was added.
In 1991, the route passed to Count Bus & Coach operating from their Edmonton (EC) garage with Reeve Burgess bodied Mercedes 811D midibuses introduced.
On 26 February 2000, route W15 was retained by Arriva London with brand new 8.8m Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs introduced. At the same time, the route was extended from Walthamstow Central to Cogan Avenue Estate via withdrawn section of Route W12 and diverted to serve Homerton Hospital direct as per Route 236.
On 5 March 2005, route W15 was again retained by Arriva London with the 8.8m Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs replaced by 9.4m versions.
In 2011, Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs were introduced.
The route will be retained by Tower Transit from 4 March 2017.
