London Buses route W11 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Chingford Hall Estate and Walthamstow, it is operated by Arriva London.
Route W11 commenced operating on 19 November 1988 between Walthamstow Crooked Billet and Walthamstow Central Station via Billet Road - North Countess Road - Priory Court - South Countess Road - Forest Road - Palmerston Road - Willow Walk. The route was initially operated by London Forest from their Walthamstow (WW) garage using MCW Metroriders.
On 7 October 1989, the route was withdrawn North Countess Road and Crooked Billet.
On 28 November 1989, the route was rerouted northbound at Walthamstow Central via Willow Walk instead of South Grove, St James's Street, Blackhorse Goad and Mission Grove.
On 23 November 1991, the route passed to Thamesway operating from Ponders End (PE) garage using Reeve Burgess bodied Mercedes Benz 811Ds.
On 21 May 1994, the route was extended from North Countess Road to Chingford Hall Estate.
On 26 1998, the route passed to First Capital but still operating from Ponders End (PE) garage.
On 28 February 2000, the route was converted to low floor operation using Marshall Capital bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.
On 2 June 2001, the allocation was transferred to Hackney (H) garage.
On 5 March 2005, the route was retained by First London using Marshall Capital bodied Dennis Dart SLFs and the Southbound routeing was revised to depart from Crooked Billet Sainsbury's direct via Walthamstow Avenue to Crooked Billet Roundabout instead of via Chingford Road.
On 15 December 2007, Hackney (H) garage was announced closed and the allocation was transferred to Lea Interchange (LI) garage.
On 3 March 2012, the route passed to Arriva London operating from their Lea Valley (LV) garage with Plaxton Pointer 2 and Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs introduced.
In April 2012, the Plaxton Pointer 2 and Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs were replaced by brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts.
In 2013, the route was rerouted westbound via George Road.
In 2014, the allocation was transferred from Lea Valley (LV) to Edmonton (EC) garages.
CT Plus will takeover the operation of route W11 with brand new Enviro 200 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E20Ds introduced from 4 March 2017.
