London Buses route U9 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Uxbridge and Harefield, it is operated by Abellio London.


Route U9 commenced on 29 September 1992 between Uxbridge Station and Harefield Hospital via non-stop to Harvil Road - South Harefield - Harefield Village as a Mondays to Saturday service. The route was initially operated by CentreWest from their Uxbridge (UX) garage using Alexander bodied Mercedes-Benz 811Ds.

In 1994, the route was rerouted in Uxbridge via Harefield Road instead of Belmont Road and Park Road. Bifurcation via Harefield West was introduced at the same time.

In 1998, the route was passed to Arriva The Shires operating from their Watford (GR) garage using Mercedes-Benz Varios.

In June 1998, the allocation was transferred from Watford (GR) to High Wycombe (HW) garage.

On 13 January 2004, the route was retained by Arriva The Shires with the Mercedes-Benz Varios replace by brand new Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.

In 2008, a Sunday service was introduced.

On 31 December 2011, the route passed to Abellio London operating from their Hayes (WS) garage using Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.

On 31 December 2016, the route was retained by Abellio London with brand new Enviro 200 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E20Ds introduced.
