London Buses route N44 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Aldwych and Sutton, it is operated by London General.

Route N44 commenced on 18/19 August 1995. The route initially operated from Stockwell (SW) garage using MCW Metrobuses. The route replaced route N88 between Trafalgar Square and Sutton.

In 1996, extended from Trafalgar Square to Aldwych.

In 1999, the allocation transferred to Sutton (A) garage.

In 2000, the allocation was transferred back to Stockwell (SW) garage.

In 2003, the route was rerouted at Rose Hill direct to Sutton Station instead of via Carshalton and Wallington and the frequency was increased. Replaced withdrawn section of Route N155. The section between Sutton and Wallington replaced by revised N213.

In 2004, the route was rerouted via new Vauxhall Bus Station.

In 2006, the route was diverted at Battersea via Chelsea Bridge, Victoria and Victoria Street instead of Nine Elms and Vauxhall.
