London Buses route N343 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between New Cross Gate and Trafalgar Square, it is operated by Abellio London.

History Edit

Night bus N343 commenced operation on 02 February 2001 to replace a section of withdrawn route N84 between New Cross Garage and Victoria. The route was initially operated by London Central from their Peckham (PM) and Camberwell (Q) garages using Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs.

In 2001, the route was retained by London Central and the Peckham (PM) allocation was withdrawn.

In 2006, the route passed to Travel London operating from their Walworth (WL) garage with Wright Eclipe Gemini bodied Volvo B7TLs introduced.

Route N343 was included in the 21 May 2009 sale of Travel London to Abellio London.

In 2009, the Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TLs were replaced by Alexander Dennis Enviro 400s.

In 2011, the route was retained by Abellio London.

The route will pass to London Central from 3 February 2018.
