London Buses route N133 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Morden and Liverpool Street Station, it is operated by Transport UK London Bus.
History[]
Route N133 commenced operation on 24 January 2003 between Liverpool Street Station and Tooting Broadway via Monument - London Bridge - Borough - Elephant & Castle - Kennington - Brixton - Streatham - Mitcham Lane - Southcroft Road - Amen Corner. The route was initially operated by London General from their Stockwell (SW) garage using Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TLs.
On 1 September 2007, route N133 was diverted at Streatham to Mitcham via daytime route 118. The all-night section between Streatham and Tooting was already served by Route (N)57.
On 2 November 2007, the allocation was transferred to Mandela Way (MW) garage.
On 22 January 2010, the route passed to Arriva London operating from their Norwood (N) garage with brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro400s introduced.
On 27 August 2010, the allocation was transferred to Croydon (TC) garage.
On 17 May 2014, the allocation was transferred back to Norwood (N) garage.
On 12 September 2015, the route was extended from Mitcham to Morden via route 118.
On 21 January 2017, the route was retained by Arriva London. At the same time, the allocation was transferred to Brixton (BN) garage and brand new Enviro 400H City bodied Alexander Dennis E40Hs were introduced.
On 6 November 2017, the route was temporarily revised to finish journeys in Old Broad Street and start from London Wall directly to Old Broad Street.
On 14 June 2019, the route was diverted via Morden Road due to the collapse of Bishopsford Bridge.
On 12 October 2019, the route was restored to Liverpool Street Station Bus Station.
On 6 December 2021, the route returned to its routing at Bishopsford Bridge.
On 20 January 2024, the route passed to Abellio London operating from their Battersea (QB) garage using brand new and existing Wright Electroliner EVs and temporarily using existing Alexander Dennis Enviro 400Hs, Enviro400 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E40Hs, and New Routemasters.
On 2 March 2024, Abellio London was rebranded to Transport UK London Bus.
The route will convert to a full Wright Electroliner EV operation from Spring 2024.
