London Buses route H3 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Golders Green and Hill Top, it is operated by Arriva London .
Route H3 commenced operating on 8 June 1996 between Golders Green Station and Golders Green Station via Brookland Hill - Brookland Rise - Falloden Way - Market Place - Ossulton Way - Brim Hill - Deans Way - The Bishops Avenue - Hampstead Lane - Winnington Road - Ingram Avenue - Wildwood Road - Hampstead Way - Meadway - Meadway Gate - Hoop Lane - Finchley Road. Operating by MTL London from their North Acton (NA) garage using Optare Metroriders.
Route H3 was included in the August 1998 sale of R&I MTL London to Metroline.
In 2002, the route was rerouted at East Finchley via East Finchley Station and East End Road. The allocation was transferred to Harlesden (HR) garage at the same time.
In 2003, the allocation was transferred to North Wembley (NW) garage and was revised to stand in Golders Green sidecourt instead of the main bus station. The Optare Metroriders were replaced by Marshall C16 bodied Mercedes Benz 811D's at the same time.
In 2004, the allocation was transferred to Perivale (PV) garage.
In 2005, the route was converted to low floor using Optare Solos.
In 2006, the route passed to Arriva The Shires operating from their Watford (GR) garage using brand new Optare Solos.
In 2011, the route was retained by Arriva The Shires.
On January 2016, the Arriva group restructured its bus operations, which included the transfer of route H2 from Arriva The Shires to Arriva London].
Metroline will take over the operation of the route from January 2018.
