London Buses route B12 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Joydens Wood and Erith, it is operated by Arriva London.


Route B12 commenced on 16 January 1988 operating between Erith and Bexleyheath as a Monday to Saturday service. It initially operated by Bexleybus from their Bexleyheath (BX) garage using Optare Metroriders and Robin Hood bodied Iveco minibuses.

In November 1988, the joint operation between route B11 and B12 ceased.

In January 1999, the route was retained by London Central.

In May 1999, low floor Marshall Capital bodied Dennis Dart SLFs were introduced.

In January 2004, the route was retained by London Central.

In January 2009, the route passed to Arriva Kent Thameside with Alexander Dennis Enviro200 Darts introduced. The route was extended from Bexleyheath to Joydens Wood replacing withdrawn section of Route B15.

In 2013, a Sunday service was introduced.

On 1 January 2016, the Arriva group restructured its bus operations, which included the transfer of route B12 from Arriva Kent Thameside to Arriva London.

On 23 January 2016, the route was retained by Arriva London.
