London Buses route 670 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Roehampton and Battersea, it is operated by London General.
History
Route 670 commenced operating on 2 September 2002 between Clapham Junction and Putney Heath via Wandsworth. The route was initially operated by London General from their Stockwell (SW) garage using Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TLs and Volvo Citybuses. The route was introduced to replace route 77C.
In 2003, the Volvo Citybuses was replaced by a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL.
On 3 June 2006, the route was retained by London General.
On 3 September 2007, the route was reduced to one journey. Most journeys were transferred to new route 639.
On 10 March 2008, part of the allocation was transferred to Mandela Way (MW) garage.
On 23 January 2010, the Mandela Way (MW) allocation was transferred to Putney (AF) garage.
In June 2013, the route was converted to full Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL.
On 2 October 2015, the route was re-structured to operate from Roehampton Danebury Avenue to Battersea.
On 4 June 2016, the route was retained by London General.
On 21 November 2016, the Stockwell (SW) allocation was transferred to Putney (AF) garage and the Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL was replaced by a brand new wright EClipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5LH.
In December 2016, brand new Enviro 400 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E40Hs were introduced.
