London Buses route 653 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Muswell Hill and Kingsbury JFS, it is operated by Sullivan Buses.


Route 653 commenced operating on 1 September 2008 between Muswell Hill and Kingsbury (JFS) via East Finchley, Hendon Lane, Hendon, West Hendon and Kingsbury. The route was initially operated by Arriva London from their Wood Green (WN) garage using Alexander ALX400 bodied DAF DB250LFs.

On 5 September 2011, the allocation was transferred to Leeside Road (LV) garage.

On 3 September 2012, the route passed to Sullivan Buses operating from their South Mimms (SM) using Wright Eclipse Geminin bodied Volvo B9TLs, East Lancs Myllennium Vyking bodied Volvo B7TLs, TransBus President bodied TransBus Tridents and an Alexander ALX400 bodided Dennis Trident introduced.
