London Buses route 639 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Roehampton and Battersea, it is operated by London General.


Route 639 commenced operating on 3 September 2007 between Clapham Junction and John Paul II School via Wandsworth - Southfields. The route initially operated by London General from their Stockwell (SW) garage using a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TL.

On 4 June 2011, the route was retained by London General.

On 2 October 2015, the route was re-structured to operate from Roehampton Danebury Avenue to Battersea.

On 4 June 2016, the route was retained by London General.

On 21 November 2016, the allocation was transferred to Putney (AF) garage.
