London Buses route 417 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Crystal Palace and Clapham Common, it is operated by Arriva London.
Route 417 commenced operation on 18 September 1999 between Crystal Palace Parade and Clapham Common Old Town via Church Road - Westow Street - Central Hill - Crown Dale - Norwood - Crown Lane - Leigham Court Road - Streatham Hill Station - Streatham Hill - Streatham Place - Atkins Road - King's Avenue - Clapham Park Road - Clapham Common Station - Clapham Common South Side - Long Road - Rookery Road - Clapham Common North Side. The route was introduced replacing withdrawn route 137A. The route was initially operated by Arriva London from their Norwood (N) garage using ECW bodied Leyland Olympians.
In 2003, the route was converted to low floor operation using Alexander ALX400 bodied DAF DB250LFs.
In 2011, the route was retained by Arriva London with Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs introduced.
In December 2015, Alexander Dennis Enviro 400s were introduced.
On 20 August 2016, the route was retained by Arriva London.
In September 2016, the Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs were replaced by Wright Gemini 2 bodied VDL DB300s.
In January 2017, the route was converted to full Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 operation.
