London Buses route 358is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Orpington and Crystal Palace, it is operated by London General.

History Edit

Route 358 was commissioned on 18 May 2002 and provided a service between Crystal Palace and Orpington Station via Anerley Hill - Penge,Kent House - Beckenham - Elmers End Green - Upper Elmers End Road - South Eden Park Road - Hayes Lane - Shortlands Road - Bromley Market square - Widmore Road - Kentish Way - ElMon-Friield Road - Bromley South - Bromley Common - Locks Bottom - Farnborough - Green Street Green - Sevenoaks Road - War Memorial. The route was operated by Metrobus from their Orpington (MB) garage using Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs. Prior to 18 May 2002 the route was a commercial route.

On 30 August 2003, the route was retained by Metrobus.

In February 2004, the Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs were replaced by brand new Scania OmniCitys.

On 13 September 2008, the route was retained by Metrobus.

In July 2014, the Go-Ahead Group restructured its bus operations, which included the transfer of Route 358 from Metrobus to Go-Ahead London.

On 19 September 2015, the route was retained by London General with brand new Mercedes-Benz O530s introduced.
