London Buses route 349 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Ponders End and Stamford Hill, it is operated by Arriva London.


History

Route 349 commenced operating on 25 April 2004 between Ponders End Enfield Garage and Stoke Newington Common via Hertford Road - Edmonton Green - Angel Corner - Tottenham - Seven Sisters Station - Stamford Hill. Operating by Arriva London from their Stamford Hill (SF) garage using Alexander ALX400 bodied DAF DB250LFs. The route was introduced to replace route 149 between Edmonton Green and Ponders End.

On 1 April 2006, Stamford Hill (SF) garage was announced closed and the allocation was transferred to Enfield (E) garage.

In October 2009, Plaxton President bodied DAF DB250LFs were introduced.

On 16 October 2010, the route was retained by Arriva London using Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TLs. The route was withdrawn between Stamford Hill and Stoke Newington at the same time.

In 2014, Wright Pulsar Gemini bodied DAF DB250LF were introduced.

On 17 October 2015, the route was retained by Arriva London with Wright Gemini 2 bodied VDL DB300s introduced.

On 9 April 2016, the route was revised to run in service from Stamford Hill to the garage in Rookwood Road
