London Buses route 337 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Clapham Junction and Richmond, it is operated by London General.
Route 337 was commissioned on 25 May 1991 and provided a service between Richmond Bus Station and Clapham Junction via East Sheen - Putney - Wandsworth. The route was initially operated by London General from their Stockwell garage (SW) using MCW Metrobuses. The route was introduced to replace the withdrawn section of route 37 between Putney and Richmond.
On 10 May 1999, the route passed to London United from their Fulwell (FW) garage using MCW Metrobuses.
In November 1999, the allocation was transferred to Hounslow (AV) garage.
In August 2000, the route was converted to low floor operation using Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs.
On 29 May 2004, the route passed to Arriva Wandsworth. Arriva chose to operate out of the Wandsworth garage of its Original Tour subsidiary, a garage that had last operated route services in 1986. Initially operated by Wright Pulsar Gemini bodied DAF DB250LFs ordered for route 137, these were replaced by brand new Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TLs.
In December 2015, Alexander Dennis Enviro 400Hs were introduced.
On 2 July 2016, the allocation was transferred to Putney (AF) garage and the Alexander Dennis Enviro 400Hs were replaced by Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs and Alexander Dennis Enviro 400s
The route will be retained by London General from 26 May 2018.
