London Buses route 331 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Ruislip and Uxbridge, it is operated by Metroline.
Route 331 commenced operating on 1 October 1994, between Ruislip and Uxbridge stations. via Northwood, Mount Vernon Hospital, Harefield and Denham replacing the withdrawn section of route U1 between Ruislip and Harefield, and withdrawn route 348 between Northwood and Uxbridge. It was initially operated by Luton & District from the former London Country North West garage in Garston with Northern Counties Paladin bodied Volvo B6s.
In 1996, the route was passed to CentreWest operating from their Uxbridge (UX) garage with brand new Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts introduced.
In 2001, the route was converted to low-floor operation with brand new Marshall Capital bodied Dennis Dart SLFs introduced.
In March 2008, a batch of brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts were introduced. These were on loan and were due to be delivered to First London's Dagenham (DM) garage for route 498 on 28 June 2008. Further brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts took their place on 5 July 2008, when route 331 was retained by First London in August 2007.
The route services places such as Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve, Ruislip Lido and the award-winning village green of Harefield.
On 4 July 2015, the route was retained by Metroline.
In October 2015, the 10.2m Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts were replaced by 10.8m versions.
