London Buses route 305 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Edgware and Kingsbury, it is operated by Arriva London.
Route 305 commenced operation on 3 July 1993 between Edgware Station and Colindale via Burnt Oak. The route was introduced to replace the withdrawn part of route 292 between Mill Hill and Burnt Oak. The route was initially operated by Metroline from their Edgware (EW) garage using Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts.
On 4 December 1993, it was diverted at Burnt Oak to Kingsbury instead of Colindale. The Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts were replaced by MCW Metroriders at the same time.
In 1996, the MCW Metroriders were replaced by Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts.
In 2002, the allocation was transferred from Edgware (EW) to North Wembley (NW) garages. The route was converted to low floor using Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.
On 31 August 2013, the route was again retained by Arriva The Shires with existing Wright Cadet bodied VDL SB120s.
On 1 January 2016, the Arriva group restructured its bus operations, which included the transfer of route 305 from Arriva The Shires to Arriva London.
The route will be discontinued from 1 September 2018. For more information on the redevelopment on buses around Colindale, Edgware, Mill Hill, Hendon and Kingsbury, please visit https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/buses/routes-125-303-305/.
