London Buses route 272 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Shepherd's Bush Green and Chiswick (Grove Park), it is operated by London United.


Route 272 began in 2002 to replace withdrawn route H40, between Turnham Green and Chiswick Grove Park, it continues from Turnham Green to Shepherd's Bush Green via The Vale, East Acton and White City Station. The route was initially operated by London United from their Stamford Brook (V) garage using Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.

On 26 May 2007, the route passed to NCP Challenger (later NSL Buses) operating from their Park Royal (PK) garage with Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts introduced.

On 16 November 2009, the route was included in the sale of NSL Buses to Transdev London.

On 20 October 2010, the allocation was transferred from Park Royal (PK) to Shepherds Bush (S) garages.

On 24 May 2014, the route was retained by London United.

On 24 June 2017, the allocation was transferred to Stamford Brook (V) garage.
