London Buses route 228 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Central Middlesex Hospital and Maida Hill, it is operated by Metroline.

History Edit

Route 228 commenced operation on 17 January 2009 that runs from Central Middlesex Hospital to Maida Hill. The route was operated by First London from their Willesden Junction (WJ) garage using Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts.

On 22 June 2013, the route was included in the sale of First London's Willesden Junction (WJ) garage to Metroline.

On 18 January 2014, the route was retained by Metroline.

The route will pass to Tower Transit and will be operating from their Westbourne Park (X) garage using brand new and existing Wright StreetLites from 19 January 2019.
