London Buses route 201 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Morden and Herne Hill, it is operated by Abellio London.
Route 201 commenced operating on 17 June 1995 between Mitcham Cricket Green and Tulse Hill Station via Upper Tulse Hill - Streatham Hill - Streatham High Road - Mitcham Lane - Streatham Road - London Road - Fair Green. The route was initially operated by London General from their Merton (AL) garage using Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts. The route was introduced to replace the withdrawn section of route 200 between Mitcham and Tulse Hill.
On 17 June 2000, the route passed to Mitcham Belle using low floor Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.
On 9 June 2001, the route was extended from Tulse Hill to Herne Hill Station.
On 1 December 2001, the route was extended from Mitcham to Morden Station.
On 27 August 2004, the route was included in the sale of Mitcham Belle to Centra.
On 20 May 2006, the route passed to East Thames Buses operating from Mandela Way (MA) garage using Volvo Merit bodied DAF SB120s.
In September 2009, Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs were introduced.
On 3 October 2009, the route was included in the sale of East Thames Buses to Go-Ahead London.
On 7 November 2009, it returned to Merton (AL) garage.
On 4 October 2014, the route passed to Abellio London operating from Beddington Cross (BC) garage using 10.2m Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts.
In January 2015, the 10.2m Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts were replaced by brand new 10.8m Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts.
