London Buses route W14 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Woodford Bridge and Leyton, it is operated by Tower Transit.


Route W14 commenced operating on 6 March 1989 between Leytonstone Station and Claybury Hospital via Green Man - Wanstead - Snaresbrook Stn - Hollybush Hill - Woodford High Road - George Lane - The Viaduct - South Woodford Station - Chigwell Road - Woodford Bridge - Manor Road. The route was initially operated by Eastern National from their Walthamstow (WW) garage using Reeve Burgess bodied Mercedes 709Ds.

On 23 November 1991, the route passed to County Bus (Townlink) operating from their Debden (DD) garage using Reeve Burgess bodied Mercedes 709D's.

On 30 November 1996, the route was withdrawn between Woodford Bridge and Claybury Hospital.

On 3 May 1997, the route was rerouted to new bus station at Leytonstone via Gainsborough Road, New Bridge, Fillebrook Road, and Grove Green Road returning via Drayton Road.

On 26 February 2000, Extended from Leytonstone to Leyton and was rerouted between South Woodford and Woodford Bridge via St Barnabas Road.

In May 2000, the route was converted to low floor operation using brand new Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.

On 5 March 2005, the route was passed to Arriva London operating from their Edmonton (EC) garage using Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs and the route was extended from Leyton Town Hall to Leyton Asda.

On 25 February 2012, the route passed to First London operating from their Lea Interchange (LI) garage using brand new 9.3m and 9.6m Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts.

On 22 June 2013, the route was included in the sale of First London's Lea Interchange (LI) garage to Tower Transit.

On 25 February 2017, the route was retained by Tower Transit.

In March 2017, the 9.3m & 9.6m Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts were replaced by longer 10.8m versions.
