London Buses route W13 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Woodford Wells and Leytonstone, it is operated by CT Plus.
Route W13 commenced operating on 4 March 1989 between Woodford Wells Horse & Well and Leytonstone Station via Woodford Green - South Woodford - Hermon Hill - Wanstead - Cambridge Park - Green Man Roundabout. The route was initially operated Eastern National operator from their Walthamstow (WW) garage using Reeve Burgess bodied Mercedes-Benz 709Ds. The route was introduced to replace route 235.
On 29 July 1990, the route passed to Thamesway operating from their Ponders End (PE) garage using Reeve Burgess bodied Mercedes-Benz 709Ds.
On 30 January 1995, double deck Schoolday journeys was introduced between Wanstead and Woodofrd Wells operated by Grey Green from their Barking (DX) garage using an Alexander RV bodied Volvo B10M-50.
On 5 May 1997, the terminal at Leytonstone was changed to the new bus station.
On 26 September 1998, the main service was passed to First Capital but still operating from Ponders End (PE) garage using Reeve Burgess bodied Mercedes-Benz 709DS and the route was diverted between Wanstead and Leytonstone via Cambridge Road and Holltbus Hill. At the same time, the double deck school journeys were diverted westbound via Blake Hall Road and Bush Road.
On 11 March 2000, the main service was passed to Arriva East Herts and Essex operating from their Debden (DD) garage and was converted to low floor operation using Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs. An full evening service was introduced at the same time.
On 28 April 2003, the double deck school journey passed to Leaside Travel operating from their Edmonton (EC) garage using a MCW Metrobus.
On 5 March 2005, the main service passed to Arriva London operating from their Edmonton (EC) garage using Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs and the double deck school journey was converted to low floor using an Alexander ALX400 bodied DAF DB250LF.
On 10 March 2007, the route passed to CT Plus operating from their Ash Grove (HK) garage using brand new East Lancs Esteem bodied Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts and an Optare Olympus bodied Dennis Trident. The double deck school journey was withdrawn between Blake Hall Road and Bush Road.
On 10 March 2012, the route was retained by CT Plus.
The route will be retained by CT Plus with brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts and a Scania OmniCity introduced from 11 March 2017.
