London Buses route N277 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Islington and Crossharbour, it is operated by Stagecoach London.
History[]
Route N277 commenced operation on 28 February 2003 between Highbury Corner and Leamouth via St Paul's Road - Balls Pond Road - Dalston Junction - Graham Road - Hackney - Well Street - Bethnal Green Stn - Grove Road - Mile End Stn - Limehouse - Canary Wharf. The route was intitally operated by Stagecoach London from their Bow (BW) garage using Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Tridents.
On 26 March 2004, the route was renumbered 277.
On 30 June 2018, the route was reintroduced between Islington and Crossharbour via Highbury – Dalston – Hackney – Mile End – Canary Wharf – Island Gardens. The route is operated by Stagecoach London from their Bow (BW) garage using existing Alexander Dennis Enviro 400Hs and Enviro 400 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E40Hs. The route replaced the night service on route 277.
On 27 June 2020, the Enviro 400 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E40Hs were replaced by Enviro 400 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E40Ds.
On 24 February 2024, the route was retained by Stagecoach London using existing Alexander Dennis Enviro 400Hs and Enviro 400 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E40Hs.
Brand new MCV EV bodied Volvo BZL Electrics will be introduced from 2024.
