London Buses route 362 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Grange Hil and King George Hospital, it is operated by Stagecoach London.
Route 362 commenced operating on 1 December 1990 between Chadwell Heath Wangey Road and Barkingside Fulwell Cross via London Road - Whalebone Lane North - Rose Lane - Marks Gate - Hainault - New North Road - The Lowe - Manford Way - Manford Road - Fenpiece Road then an anti clockwise loop via Limes Avenue - Copperfield - Fenpiece Road as Monday to Saturday service. The route was initially operated by Thamesway from their Brentwood (BD) garage using Reeve Burgess bodied Mercedes-Benz 709Ds. The route was introduced to replace the withdrawn section of Route 62 between Marks Gate and Hainault.
In October 1991, the Monday to Friday peak hours service was extended from Fulwell Cross to Barkingside Station.
In November 1991, the route was extended from Chadwell Heath to Little Heath replacing part of withdrawn 62A and extended from Barkingside Fulwell Cross to Station during mid-day period with a revised routeing in Barkingside.
In 1993, the route was extended from Little Heath to King George Hospital.
In 1995, the allocation was transferred to Ponders End (PE) garage.
In 1998, the route passed to First Capital still operating at Ponders End (PE) garage.
In 1999, the route was Withdrawn between Grange Hill & Barkingside.
In July 2001, the allocation was transferred to Northumberland Park (NP) garage.
In December 2001, the allocation was transferred to Dagenham (DM) garage.
In 2002, the route was retained by First London using brand new low floor Marshall Capital bodied Dennis Dart SlFs, the allocation was transferred to Rainham (RN) garage and a Sunday service was introduced.
In 2005, the allocation was transferred to Dagenham (DM) garage.
In 2007, the route passed to Blue Triangle operating from their Rainham (BE) garage using brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts and was diverted at Hainault via the northern end of The Lowe and Brocket Way instead of full length of Manford Way.
In 2012, the route was retained by Blue Triangle and was rerouted at Chadwell Heath to run direct via the High Road instead of diverting via Wangey Road.
On 2 July 2016, the allocation was transferred to River Road (RR) garage.
On 25 March 2017, the route passed to Stagecoach London operating from their Barking (BK) garage using Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts.
In May 2017, the Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts were replaced by brand new Enviro 200 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E20Ds.
