London Buses route 315 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between West Norwood and Balham, it is operated by London General.
Route 315 commenced operating on 29 April 1995 between Balham Station and West Norwood Station via Bedford Hill - Garards Road - Tooting Bec Gardens - Gleneldon Road - Valley Road - Leigham Court Road - Canterbury Grove - Royal Circus - York Hill - Norwood Road as a Monday to Saturday service. The route was initially operated by Londonlinks from their Walworth (WL) garage using Optare MetroRiders. The route was introduced to replace the withdrawn route 115 between Balham to Steatham and the withdrawn section of G1 between Streatham and West Norwood.
On 19 July 1997, the allocation was transferred to Croydon (CN) garage.
On 29 April 2000, the route passed to Arriva London operating from their Norwood (N) garage using Optare Metroriders and was extended in West Norwood to Norwood Garage.
On 18 December 2000, the route passed to Connex operating from their Beddington Cross (BC) garage and the route was converted to low floor using Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.
On 28 April 2001, the route was retained by Connex with Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs introduced.
On 29 September 2001, a Sunday service was introduced.
On 2 March 2004, the route was included in the sale of Connex to Travel London.
On 30 April 2005, the allocation was transferred to Battersea (QB) garage.
On 29 April 2006, the route passed to London General operating from their Stockwell (SW) garage with Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs introduced.
On 30 April 2011, the route was retained by London General.
On 30 April 2016, the route was retained by London General with Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 Darts introduced.
