London Buses route H37 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Hounslow, Blenheim Centre and Richmond, Manor Circus, it is operated by London United.
History[]
Route H37 commenced operation on 25 May 1991 between Hounslow Bus Station and Richmond Bus Station via London Road - Isleworth - St John's Road - Isleworth War Memorial - St Margarets Station - Richmond Bridge. The route was introduced to replace the withdrawn section of route 37 between Hounslow and Richmond. The route was initially operated by London United with Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts.
On 24 January 1994, the Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Darts were replaced by Leyland Lynxes.
On 13 April 1996, the Leyland Lynxes were replaced by Leyland Nationals.
On 6 March 1999, the route was retained by London United.
On 31 July 1999, the route was converted to low floor operation using Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLFs.
On 6 March 2004, the route was retained by Transdev London.
On 3 February 2007, the route was extended from Hounslow Bus Station to Blenheim Centre.
On 27 June 2009, the route was extended from Richmond Bus Station to Richmond Manor Circus.
On 5 March 2011, the route was included in the sale ofTransdev London’s Hounslow (AV) garage to London United. At the same time. the retained by London United with brand new Optare Tempos introduced.
On 9 January 2016, a half-hourly service on weekend nights was introduced.
On 3 March 2018, the route was retained by London United.
On 1 September 2018, Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaros were temporarily introduced alongside the existing Optare Tempos.
On 19 October 2018, the route was converted back to a full Optare Tempo operation.
In April 2019, the Optare Tempos were replaced by brand new Enviro 200 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E20Ds and Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaros.
In December 2019, the Mercedes-Benz O530 Citaros were replaced by 10.9m Enviro 200 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E20Ds.
On 20 March 2020, the 24-hour weekend night service was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In December 2020, the route was converted to a full 11.5m Enviro 200 MMC bodied Alexander Dennis E20D operation.
The 24-hour weekend night service will be reintroduced from TBA.
